This is a key cap attached to my car key. The purpose of a key cap is to distinguish the difference between all of your keys. This one in particular is made by Hello kitty and is meant to look like the iconic hello kitty face with 3D glasses on.
There are all sort of different key caps made, all different themes. Although we use these caps to help us tell the difference between our keys, we also use them to express our personalities. With so many themes to choose from we are given an instrument to help communicate to others our individual style

World Market is a home goods store that has sells whatever is needed to furnish every room of your house. This bag is what you would receive if you were to buy something small. The logo for the company looks to be made with a stencil print and using one color. The image of elephant drawn with eastern Asian / Indian influence gives the feeling of culture. The addition the decoration around the logo also encourages this theme. Lastly, the serif typeface gives the logo a sophisticated look to attract the type of people who like to decorage their home.

Golden Road Brewery is a craft beer brewery and restaurant based near Glendale. In addition to the variety of choices of beer that they sell on tap, they also sell packaged beer flavors to go. The cans were actually designed by the company and the images printed on the cans are pictures that they took of surrounding Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Simple and clear the logo is placed directly in the middle of the can and in large font for the drinker to see. I also appreciated the L.A pride that the company portrays by using their own imagery of the city versus stock images
I read on their website that they use cans versus bottles for specific reasons. Cans are made with 100% recyclable aluminum and are better to house the beer in for taste purposes, in addition to being compact and easy to store

But what I really wanna do is direct...

Because the concept of recording and uploading videos has become so popular in today's society the creation of having a portable and compact video recorder created much success for the company.

Don't call it a comeback
Although record players were invented decades ago, a well known radio company named Crosley released a line of modern turntables. Similar to the original design, these turntables come equipt with the ability to play music from you mp3 player and to even convert songs from vinyl records into mp3 files. As a tribute to the originals, the colors used to decorate these players are inspired from vintage color palettes.

In addition to the simple design, this product is also light weight and easily portable. Because my generation has become so fascinated with all things "retro" the success of this product is due to the fact that although it may look vintage it also has the capability of modern technology which are two factors needed to convince consumers to buy them.

Hidden deep within L.A's art district lies a well kept secret in the nightlife community.
Villains tavern is a local dive bar that has been described as "if Jimi Hendrix and Jack the Ripper had opened a bar in the San Francisco's Haight in the 1860's". Complete with an outdoor patio, villains tavern serves a slew of craft beers, original and unique cocktails, and live music. There is no question that this place is very unique it it's design and theme.

There are so many words that could be used to describe the over all interior concept. Sinister yet lavish this place is inspired by Gothic cathedrals with furnishings that look like they came straight out of the 1800's The main centerpiece of the bar is in fact a real vintage piece from a church.
Across the bar is a wall of vintage apothecary bottles stacked in shelves to almost give a stained class effect.

Even the logo design uses a typeface inspired by the old west and even a small hint of old English.

In addition to their menu for food, this place has its own unique menu of original drinks. Served in vintage mason jars and champagne glasses their drinks include gourmet ingredients like mint leaves leaves, jasmine, syrups and bitters. By the looks of their drink menu, this bar concentrates more on the presentation and overall taste of their drink.
Small bars like these are fun for the environment they create. With live music, hearty drinks and a widespread of food to choose from the overall concept of this place attracts people of all walks of life. Although considered a "hipster bar" nearly anyone who comes here would appreciate all the effort put into the interior design and elegance of their drinks for the price they pay. If you haven't been here, I highly suggest making a trip.

One of my current obsessions these days has to be a music streaming service called Spotify. Similar to Pandora, Spotify lets its users search for artists and songs on demand and play them instantly. You have the option of listening through the site or downloading the program onto your computer. From here you can search artists, listen to their entire discography, and even create your own playlists for free. If you are using the free subscription there are commercials every few songs. If you are using the paid subscription then the service is ad free and you are able to hear the songs you want on both computer and phone, whereas the free version you can only hear those specific songs on your computer and only hear stations on your phone. I like this service so much better than Pandora specifically because I grew tired of having to wait to hear the song I wanted to through their stations, and the commercials were too frequent.
Spotify's service is very effective in benefiting artists by making entire discography's so easily available in one place without making listeners search for every song. I can't tell you how many bands I recently became a fan of because I was able to hear a bands full album so easily and as frequently as I wanted. In addition, the playlist feature allows listeners to hear other's selections and to discover other bands
The overall design of the program and how easy it is to navigate also attracts me to this site. I like how clutter-free each page is and how easy it is to find an artist. There is also a scarcity of ads (both visually and audio) that makes my listening experience less interrupted.
With the rise of music streaming services, all a listener wants is to find a site where they can easily listen to the music they want without having to be bothered with endless searches and ads. The fact that the free service has so many features is a plus too. Overall everything that this site has to offer plus its "user friendly" interface is what attracts people to this service.
